OUR
MINISTRIES

Getting involved is easy and we welcome all who want to help serve our community and neighbors of East Fort Worth.  We offer many different ways to learn and grow, to lead and serve, and ask all who can to be involved in whatever way God has gifted you.

If you are looking for a church home where all are welcome and every member is valued, join us on Sunday mornings as we celebrate with music and teachings.  We serve Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.  Come and see, if you want to know more or to find a church who is working to grow and adapt to the ever-changing world, while consistently speaking up about God's grace and mercy, and rooted in our Wesleyan tradition.

Music

The music ministry of Meadowbrook-Poly nourishes the spirit, builds community, and offers creative service through music. We celebrate music's power to express the deepest feelings of our hearts. Add your talent to our services by joining our chancel choir, singing or playing in an ensemble or on your own.

Helping Hands
United Women in Faith

We are a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.  We provide both outreach and learning opportunities. Join our group today.

Christian Education

Beginning at 9:30 am on Sundays, we offer large and small adult classes; leader-led and group discussions; some use primarily the Bible as a study focus and some use spiritual teachings by leaders in the church.  Children and youth also have classes where learning and fun are combined.  There's something for everyone!

Pastor Ginger Watson leads Bible and book studies both in person and online (Zoom) throughout the year.  Most are 4-6 weeks long and meet once a week.

Congregational Support

We offer Congregational Care to all who need a community of faith to walk with them on life's journey.  If you need prayer, or a ride to the doctor, feel alone, or need spiritual support, we have a wonderful team of volunteers who are ready to support our family of faith.  We also encourage members who have the time and willingness to join us in ministering to those who need support.

Outreach Ministries

At Meadowbrook-Poly United Methodist Church, we believe that church is more than just a building; it’s a way of living. It is connecting with others — in compassion, love, justice, service, and fellowship. Our Outreach team coordinates and supports local services that bless our community including Eastside Ministries, United Community Centers, 4Saints and Friends Episcopal Food Pantry, local elementary schools, Presbyterian Night Shelter, Union Gospel Mission, Eastside Community Garden and East Fort Worth 4-H Club.

1-Day Mission Team (1DMT)

If you enjoy hands-on projects as a way to serve join our 1-Day Mission Team. 1DMT takes on building and improvement projects for Meadowbrook-Poly UMC or other local charities. We also provide some help and assistance to those in our church family and community who need help with special projects. One day can really make a difference.

Connectional Giving

We can see United Methodists in action in our hometowns and across the world. The United Methodist Church's special giving structure ensures your generosity blesses as many people as possible in sustainable, strategic ways. Through the support of you, and your church, we fund hundreds of projects each year.

Galatians 6:2, NRSV says, “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Jesus says it this way, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 19:19b
